About Matthew

Matthew was born in Manly and moved to Forster with his family in 1983 after they purchased the Forster Newsagency. He attended Holy Name Primary School and later St Clare's High School, while also working in the family business after school and on weekends. In fact, Matt's working life began at just seven years old as a paperboy—a first morning he'll never forget.

Matt and his wife, Carly, are proud parents to three young daughters, all of whom attend Tuncurry Primary School. He considers this an exciting and rewarding stage of life and firmly believes there is no better place in the world to raise a family than the Great Lakes region.

When time permits, Matt enjoys a round of golf, supporting local sporting teams, and improving his gardening skills. He also loves bringing family and friends together, often entertaining with meals slow-cooked on his wood pellet smoker.

Matt joined The Professionals sales team in July 2013 and became a business owner in partnership with Torge Struwe in 2026. He is grateful every day for the opportunity to help people achieve their property goals. Whether clients are downsizing, upgrading, or investing, Matt is committed to delivering outstanding service and takes great pride in achieving exceptional results. He believes there is no greater reward than helping clients realise their property dreams.
